nswl (web logging) not working?
« on: June 08, 2009, 04:56:21 PM »
I'm trying to get web logging working on the netscaler.  I've got the correct client, running on a linux host.
Here's what I get when I run it:

[root@gw164 bin]# ./nswl -start -f /usr/local/netscaler/etc/log.conf
Debug log file is ./nswl.log-080620091948 & Log level is 1
Configuration file is correct
Weblogging feature is disabled on the Netscaler 10.10.10.3
Weblogging feature is disabled on the Netscaler 10.10.10.3

I know for a fact the feature is on, and have tried disabling and reenabling it as a check.

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Just read something that said that you have to log in as nsroot... using another superuser account won't work. Does that help / make sense to you? (I've never actually run web logging)

Danix,

Make sure that under the Global Settings you have a Web Logging buffer size set at 16mb, and then double check that under Configure Advanced Features on the Settings tab that Web Logging is checked.

One other thing is make sure you are using the NSWL.exe that was designed for the firmware of the netscaler you are using. If you have an incorrect version it make for some strange results.
