Job Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for a team of product managers who manage strategic product features for the NetScaler line of traffic management products.

You will develop common feature sets or products and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the field to understand customer opportunities and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with Product Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also work with Program Managers assigned to the release of NetScaler products. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers. Participation with executive staff and senior managers to promote and establish corporate priorities is required. This position is worldwide in scope.

Primary Accountabilities
The Director is responsible for bringing new or enhanced NetScaler features/key components to market.  Overall responsibilities include:
•Prioritize enhanced features and new features based on customer demand in order to drive revenue and market share
•Evangelize, measure, and increase customer adoption of NetScaler products.
•Align with other Product Management Teams to drive cross-product synergies.
•Travel throughout Geos and meet with customers, resellers, and partners to gain insight.
•Build, manage, retain and motivate a high caliber team.


Job Requirements
Essential Requirements and Qualifications
•Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related field required
•Masters of Business Administration or equivalent professional experience
•Minimum 8 years experience in product management or marketing for high tech companies
•Clear evidence of successful product management
•Clear evidence of technical understanding of technologies and products
•Clear evidence of creating and delivering on significant business opportunities
•Clear evidence of using quality management programs
•Solid line management experience using best practice methods of at least 5 people
•Ability to matrix manage people on a worldwide basis
•Ability to use email constructively, effectively and selectively
•Ability to negotiate constructively with all cross functional teams, especially Engineering/Development, Product managers and Program Managers
•Ability to act independently and exercise good judgment even in stress situations
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
•Excellent presentation creation and delivery skills

Useful Requirements
•Product Management of Traffic Management and/or web services products
•Relevant Hi Tech Software or Hardware Engineering experience
•Relevant Hi Tech Technical Sales experience
•Industry recognized technical qualifications
